Jimmy Fallon Shows Off His New Daughter To The World
Published April 7th, 2014
Jimmy Fallon has been in the public eye since he first appeared as a fresh young face on the NBC sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" in 1998. Staying with the show until 2004, Fallon then attempted to transition into feature films with starring vehicles like "Taxi" and "Fever Pitch." When his burgeoning career as a movie star was less than successful, he found a career resurgence by way of his own late-night talk show. He replaced Conan O'Brien as the host of "Late Night" on NBC when O'Brien first left to host "The Tonight Show" and then transitioned over into the self-titled "Conan" on TBS.
Since returning to late-night television, Fallon has found success after success. Most recently, he was tapped to replace Jay Leno as the long-running host of "The Tonight Show" in 2014 with the conclusion of Winter Olympics coverage on NBC. Leno himself has had the show since 1993 after he took over from Johnny Carson. Leno's rein was interrupted only briefly when he moved to the 10:00PM "The Jay Leno Show" in 2010, which was prompted by Conan O'Brien taking over "The Tonight Show" at the same time. Leno has since returned to his former throne and is planning on giving up the reins again in less than a year.

Fallon has also seen great success in his personal life. In 2007, Fallon married Nancy Juvonen. She is a film producer and the co-owner of the film production company Flower Films. Flower films has produced a wide variety of different popular feature films including "Charlie's Angels," "Donnie Darko" and Jimmy Fallon's own "Fever Pitch."
Fallon and his wife recently welcomed their first daughter in to the world. Named Winnie Rose, the young girl was born in July 2013. She weighed five pounds, nine ounces at birth.
One thing that isn't quite certain yet is just how Fallon's transition to the host of "The Tonight Show" will play out. The previously attempted transition between Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien in late 2010 ended in disaster. After "The Jay Leno Show" plummeted in the ratings at 10:00PM, NBC attempted to reinstate Leno as the host of "The Tonight Show" to appease affiliate networks across the country. Conan O'Brien, who famously did not want to move "The Tonight Show" past the midnight hour, instead chose to sever his contract with NBC and stop hosting the show after only seven months. O'Brien had previously been with the network since 1993. Only time will tell whether history repeats itself and Jay Leno eventually takes "The Tonight Show" back from Jimmy Fallon, as well.
